Witch Wood was reputedly John Buchans own favourite of his many novels and is dedicated to his brother, Walter Buchan. Shortly before writing the novel, Buchan had been carrying out research for his biography of Montrose, who does make a brief appearance in Witch Wood/5.

Witch Wood, the fourth book in the Harvesting series was just as intriguing as the first three books. I originally wrote it for creative writing class inand it literally took me four years to turn it into a book. I didn't want Witch In The Woods to be like other Y.A. novels.
